WHAT IS THE MOOC?
What “Elearning” is and means is one of the most hotly debated topics in our industry. To some it describes a self-paced, ‘click next’ course. To others it’s anything and everything that you can do deliver content online – others argue that it doesn’t even necessarily have to be online!
This year-long MOOC facilitates a year-long conversation that will focus initially on the term ‘elearning’ and consider what it means in 2016, before using each month of the year to a look at a current or emerging technology that could be used to enhance your practice. These monthly topics will become available on the 1st of each month.
WHAT DOES THE COURSE OFFER?
This new concept MOOC opens a new level each month: you can join anytime throughout the year and access all the materials unlocked to that point – meaning you can look back over earlier topics and join in the conversation as they become relevant to you.
Confirmed levels include:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Virtual & Augmented Reality
- Proximity Beacons
- Spaced Learning
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This is a self-paced, facilitated, non-linear course that can be completed at the learner’s own pace. A new level is opened each month and comprises around 90 minutes content plus an optional live event lasting up to 1 hour.
Craig is a Solutions Architect at HT2 and has many year’s experience working in learning technologies in industries ranging from the Military to Nuclear and Finance to Rail. He‘s always looking at ways of being able to harness current and emerging technologies and will be glad to see the day when we can finally drop the ’e’ from elearning.
