Exploring Social Learning

WHAT IS THE MOOC?

If you’ve ever wondered what Social Learning is, what it isn’t and how you can better support it, then this is the course for you.

Social has been one of the watch words in L&D trends in recent years. Some experts suggest that all learning is social, some say you can design social learning experience – others say you can’t touch it and that L&D professionals should just stand back and let it happen.
But do we have a common understanding of what it is?

WHAT DOES THE COURSE OFFER?

Social has been an emerging trend in learning for a few years now; in this free course you’ll learn what social learning really is and how you can best support and achieve it in practice.

There are 6 levels of the course, including:

  • Social Learning Today
  • Social Learning Theories
  • Informal, Formal and Social Learning
  • Social Learning in Practice

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This is a self-paced, asynchronous, largely unfacilitated course that can be completed at the learner’s own pace, comprising roughly 7 hours of learning. On completion the learner receives a CPD Certificate of Participation.
